Enjoying our backyard
We finally bought some decent patio furniture this weekend! Since we love to be outside so much, we figured it was time. We are excited to spend some relaxing evenings out here...especially when Fall arrives. After eating dinner on the patio last night, Avery and Johnny were rolling around on the grass doing somersaults!

Summer Fun
We really enjoyed our community party this weekend. The kids had a blast playing water balloon toss, sack races, "fishing" for prizes, blowing bubbles and so on. It was a great afternoon outside--and some of us carried it on into the late evening hours...we have a bad habit of staying up WAY too late on the weekends with our neighbors!

Baby Ryan is here!
We are excited for Michelle and Benson's new baby boy! He was born today at 12:26am and weighed 9 lbs. 14 oz. and is 22 inches long. Brooklyn and Jeremy are going to be great helpers to Michelle and new baby Ryan--they were so excited for his arrival. Avery and I are going to go visit Michelle and family in September to meet Ryan and celebrate Brooklyn's Birthday! We can't wait! We love you Weinberger Family!!

Letting your kid finger paint = Good Mom, right?! :)
Ok, Anna--this one's for you--I finally did it. We broke out the finger paints! Anna has been buggin' me for about 2 years to let Avery paint...and I keep saying--ya, we'll do it sometime. It's just so messy!! Johnny bought Avery some finger paints for Easter--and I finally opened them today. Avery enjoyed herself for the most part--but, as you can tell from the pictures--she too, thought it was messy!! She kept wanting to wash her hands. In the end though, she was very proud of her pictures and can't wait to show Daddy.

Ryan and Lisa's Wedding
Last night Johnny and I were able to go to our friends' Ryan and Lisa's wedding. It was beautiful. We were both so impressed with both of their families. We have met their families before and always agreed that Ryan and Lisa are great people who come from great families, but it was completely 100% confirmed last night. Lisa's Dad gave the sweetest speech I have ever heard--Johnny and I both wanted to just go give him a big hug :) Really, it was a wonderful event and we are so glad we were invited to share it with them. It was also nice to have an adult evening! Celeste and Brandon took Avery for the night--and we knew she was in good hands. She just loves being at their house. (Friday night she got mad at me and stormed off saying," I going to "Leste's house!")...gotta love it.
Our birdies
Over the past 2 1/2 weeks we have watched a small (about 4 inches around) bird nest with 5 little "cadbury" looking eggs...hatch into 5 little birdies...and now, as of today, they have all flown away. We watched 1 fly away Friday night, and the rest have followed within 24 hours. It was actually pretty neat to see the whole process. Mama bird, over the past 2 weeks, would come about every 1/2 hour to bring food, and kept a close eye on them from our fence. She built this little nest in our front step rose bush. I even talked to the landscapers and asked them not to trim the rosebushes while the birds were still there...so, now they can be trimmed. Here is a picture from Friday afternoon.

Cal.--but we have plans to meet up at Disneyland in the near future :) Anyway, like I said, I forgot the camera, so here are some after pics of my tan little girl!
