yes, i'm a little crazy...

Three days after we got back from out trip to Cali, I was talking to my friend Jennifer who was saying that she'd love to go to Disneyland over spring break, but didn't want to go alone...so, I volunteered :) Yep, her and I, along with our 3 kids, headed to Southern California a couple days later. What a blast!! Wow, girl trips are the best! Sorry men, no offense, but travelling and vacationing with the girls is soooooooo much easier and...well, a little bit more fun! (but thank you Johnny for letting us go and working so hard for our family so we are able to do fun things like this!) We totally closed down Disneyland both nights we were there...that doesn't happen when we have the Daddy's with us... Anyway, we can't wait to do it again! Lauren and Avery had so much fun together, and both the girls were such big helpers with Wyatt.

Our good friends/next door neighbors were there also, so were were able to spend some time with them too! ... and we also saw Donny Osmond :)

Oh, and just for the record...this was a cheap trip! We didn't buy meals out--we used the fridge and microwave in the hotel and made all our meals--with food we had brought with us. We packed our water bottles and lunches into Disneyland. Seriously, I only spent $3 on food...bought Avery a Happy Meal one night...

Easter

We went to an Easter Egg hunt at Founders Park in Centerville the day before Easter--with our friends/next door neighbors. Later that day, we colored eggs--Avery just loves to do that! We set out Easter baskets and carrots for the bunny that night...and the next morning ~Easter~ was so much fun! Avery loved hunting for eggs and showing them to Wyatt. She thought it was great that Wyatt got chocolate from the Easter bunny too... We had such a great day together, and also enjoyed a yummy dinner with my family.

Our fun weekend!

As I wrote a couple posts ago, we spent last weekend in California. We were able to stay at Aunt Carrie and Uncle Bill's home--so lucky that they welcome us every time!! They are the best host's ever...and we were so happy to be able to spend some time with them. Avery always enjoys their dog's too...she just adores them! ...some highlights: Avery got to pick flowers with Aunt Carrie, Wyatt got to sleep in a drawer, John and Marsky came over for a yummy dinner, we relaxed at a local park... Thanks for a great weekend guys!

Give a Day, Get a Day

First Disney trip for Wyatt...thanks to the "Give a Day, Get a Day" program! Johnny and I each volunteered a day of service and got a free Disney Day!

Matteo and Avery

Avery has been BEGGING, since we moved, to go back and see her friends. One of her good friends is Matteo--we were next door neighbors--and use to have so much fun together. Gail (Matteo's Mom) and I are friends too--and I miss her lots! We have kept in touch by text, email and phone calls. When she told me a few weeks ago that they were going to Disneyland and suggested we join them--we jumped on it :) We love Disney, and we love our friends, so it was the perfect combo! It was great to see them--Matteo and Avery had an absolute blast together, along with Matteo's cousin Hailey. The weather was PERFECT... sunny and 85... the kids got to go on BIG Splash Mountain (first time)--so much fun that Avery is tall enough now! They had a great time running around the splash pad in Bug's Land too...and just running crazy in general! So great to see friends...we sure miss them!

Wyatt's first trip to the BEACH!!

We were in serious need of some Cali time, so we did it! It was sunny and 82 at Santa Monica Beach last Saturday...aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...nice... We had a blast--Avery was soaking wet from the waves (we didn't wear swimsuits--we had planned to go to a museum ...yawn... in downtown LA, but it was sooooooo gorgeous outsite, we headed to the beach instead) This beach was the best--a full, big sidewalk through the sand that we walked for quite a while, nice play equipment for the kids and even nice bathrooms! Fun fun day :)

another tease of a day...

Spring keeps teasing us...we had a beautiful couple day, now it's snowing again!! We enjoyed it while it lasted--Wyatt just loves to feel the sun and wind on his face :)

Circus Night at the Library

The local library put on a free event for the kids a couple weeks ago. The kids had free reign of the library--and could RUN AND SHOUT!! ...no whispering this time! They had face-painting, magic shows, bean bag tosses and other fun games. We went with a few friends and had a great time. ...had to share the pic of Johnny and his friend David that night--wow, look what Friday nights have some to...feeding babies at the library!! (what good Daddy's!)
