Happy Birthday to me!

My sweet husband took me to Disneyland for my birthday! What could be better than that? At Disneyland, they gave me a "Birthday" button w/ my name on it, so people were telling me Happy Birthday all day long. I felt pretty special...especially when Goofy sang Happy Birthday to me. Avery, who loves to watch The Mickey Mouse Clubhouse everyday, was a little scared of the real Mickey...or as she calls him,-Baca. I don't know how she came up with that, but she calls him that all the time. (She hands me the remote control and says,"Baca", that means she wants to watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. ) Anyway, she would always say Bye to the characters -in her sweet lttle voice as she was waving, as they were walking away. She really enjoyed the train ride all the way around the park. She was "signing" and saying train all day long. Train, is her favorite word to "sign". Her sign language skills are getting pretty good we think. Besides train, she signs: ice-cream,apple,candy,more,cold,hot,milk,dog,and a few others. Speaking of dog-we stayed at Carrie and Bills house in So. Cal. for the weekend and Avery had a blast with their 2 dogs. We aren't sure whether she liked Disneyland or the dogs better! She was sad to say bye-bye to them.

I'm ready!

Avery is really enjoying going to nursery at church. I drop her off and she doesn't even look back! She likes to color-she came home with washable marker colors all over her shirt last week. The teacher said she sits like a big girl and sings songs and eats her snack. We are glad she has this time to socialize with other kids her age.

Too much to do...

(this message is from Avery)...

Seriously everyone, I don't know how you do it! I mean, if only there were more hours in the day. I've got so much to do-watching movies, reading books, drinking juice, playing with the doggy next door, shopping, eating "shishies"...the list goes on. And to top it off, Mommy wants me to brush my teeth and use the potty! Well, I'll show her, I'll get this yucky stuff out of the way real quick... and get back to more important stuff!

Our Big Girl!

Avery decided that she wanted to go "poo poo" on her little potty chair. She told me,"poo poo", so I took her to her potty chair, sat her down and next thing ya know-she pooped! Yahoo! What a big girl. We are so proud of her! Now, we're trying to get her to do it again...

Temple Square

Avery and I enjoyed walking around Temple Square with Grandma and Grandpa, Bill and Aunt Carrie, Cait, Brooklyn, Jeremy, Michelle and Benson. It was nice outside-not too cold.

Avery got passed around when she got tired of walking or riding in her stroller. She wasn't quite sure about riding on Grandpa's shoulders.

Christmas 2006

Grandma Jo passed away on Dec.22, 2006. We loved her very much but know she is so much happier now and free from pain. We will miss her. Because of this we ended up driving to Salt Lake and spending Christmas with my family. It was nice to be home. We spent time with Grandpa Jeppson, Aunt Carla,Aunt Carrie and Bill, and the rest of the fam. Avery fell on Christmas Eve, so most of the pictures you'll see she's got some nice scratches on her face. She had fun spending Christmas with her cousins. Santa brought Avery a stroller for her baby and that was her favorite gift. She also had a great time palying the piano with Aunt Cait and her cousin Jeremy.

Johnny stayed till 12/26 and Avery and I got to stay till12/30. We helped Michelle and Benson by watching Brooklyn and Jeremy while they were packing. They moved to Portland on 12/28.
