Move over Ty Pennington...

Oh yeah baby, you're not so hot anymore Ty, look at me!! Extreme Home Makeover better watch out... Yes, this is Avery trying to help Mommy and Daddy paint the new pergola we built. Finally the backyard is mostly done!! We still need to plant more trees and flowers, but for the most part, we are enjoying the yard now. Avery has her little pool, I have my veggie garden, and Johnny has some shade to relax in.

Fun in the Sun

Sunset at the lake
One word: beautiful
This is the boat we took a day cruise on
Avery andDaddy sliding!
Too much fun...she is napping by the pool
Johnny parasaling...that little blob in the air is him!!
Mommy and Avery enjoying the beach

Avery with her roasted marshallow.
We were able to take a week and go to Lake Tahoe. It was beautiful as usual. Most of you heard about the fire there that week though-so that did put some smoke and ashes in the air. Thankfully we were ok though, we didn't need to evacuate, as did some families we met while we were there. Other than that it was a great week. We bbq'd at the beach, Johnny went parasailing, we took a day cruise around the lake, and just spent time by the pool. It was a relaxing week for us.

Take me out to the ballgame

We were able to go to a baseball game in Stockton last night. I'm actually not even sure who played!! It was a minor league all-star game. We had RedBull VIP tickets-the only way to do a baseball game with a 2 year old. We didn't have those hard seats-we had couches!! There was a big area sectioned off and Avery was able to run around. The free food and drinks were also a score. What a fun time!

Patterson Apricot Fiesta

Every year,Patterson(the apricot capital of the world!), holds and an Apricot Fiesta. They block off the city center and have food and craft booths, entertainment stage, petting zoo, etc. Avery enjoyed petting some pigs and lambs. We ended up meeting some new people that live just around the corner from us, so that was fun. We had a really nice time and of course had some yummy apricots.

Beach babe

Well, we went to the beach with some friends on Memorial Day and quickly discovered that Avery LOVES the beach. She played for 7 straight hours in the sand and water. I could hardly get her to take a bite or drink, she was having so much fun playing! When we were ready to go, we rinsed her off and headed to the car and she was asleep in my arms before we got there. We can't wait to go back.

Yosemite

The day after Bill and Carrie's wedding, Johnny and I headed up to Yosemite for a little getaway. My Mom and Aunt Carla took Avery back to our house for a couple days so we could have some time together. We had a great time hiking and exploring the Yosemite Valley. It was so breathtaking. The waterfalls are just amazing. It took us about 4 days to recover from our strenuous hike...I think we need to get back in shape! But, it was great to get away as a couple. We really enjoyed the time. We also stopped at the Maripose Grove of Giant Sequoias at the south exit of Yosemite. Those trees are amazing! What agreat trip we had. We can't wait to go back.

Carrie and Bill's Wedding

We were able to go to Carrie and Bill's wedding at Ironstone Vineyards in Murphy's, CA. It was beautiful. We had such a nice time. It was great to see people we haven't seen in a while and meet new friends. We attended a pre-wedding BBQ the night before and had a really good time. Avery enjoyed the ducks at the pond and playing with her new friend Maddie. Maddie was so sweet to help out with Avery as much as she did. We wished she lived closer so she could babysit for us. The wedding was absolutley beautiful. The grounds of this vineyard are just gorgeous. We are so happy for Carrie and Bill.
