We didn't do too much for Valentine's Day...we were all a little sick! We did go to pizza with some friends :) Johnny also made us buttermilk pancakes for breakfast. It was nice just to spend time together!
Johnny had some work meetings in Phoenix this last week and we were able to go with him and hang out with Steven, Brooke, Dylan and Sydnee. They have a beautiful house just outside of Phoenix and we stayed the week with them. My parents were also there when we arrived--and we surprised them by showing up to the door late Saturday night! We had a great time, Johnny was able to work and spend the evenings with us. Avery loved spending time with her cousins and Brooke was so generous to let me use her scrapbook stuff...I got 19 pages done! We can't wait for our next trip!
So little miss Avery has been pushing me--she's so tough :) I'm doing this P90X workout video system thing..you may have seen it on info-mercials (is that how you spell that??) It's kicking my butt!--and Avery's too! She is just crackin me up, thought I'd share:
We have had beautiful spring-like weather for the past couple weeks! There are buds on all the trees and plants, as it's been about 65 degrees! Avery and I have been taking advantage and going to the park, blowing bubbles, riding her new scooter...and other fun things. We love spring...hope it stays!
For me, the superbowl was just an excuse to get together with friends and family and eat junk food...so we did just that! Zach, Kelly, Mike, Noelle, Mikey, Gail, Matteo and Allie came over to hang out for the day--and we had a fabulous time! I heard the Steelers won, but I can honestly say that I didn't even watch 2 minutes of the game...not even half-time.
Avery said to me the other day, "Mom, I have a handsome guy-(talking about Treyden) and you have a handsome guy. Only difference is I have other boyfriends and you don't"
One of my famous lines to Avery is, "Honey, you're just gonna have to deal with it"...whatever the situation may be...anyway, yesterday, a piece of one of her toys broke, she told me about it and then said, "I guess I will just have to deal with huh?!" My other line is, this sounds bad but, "your father is killin' me!"...so when i was a little ticked at Johnny the other day, I said, "Avery, your father..." that's all I said, but she finished it with, "is killin' you Mom?!"
We were flying home from Utah, she says, "Mom?-God and Mary Poppins live in the clouds huh?"
Johnny frequently uses the phrase, "I'm gonna hafta drop the hammer!" with Avery (meaning she is doing something she shouldn't be and she's gonna get in trouble)...it's kind of a sarcastic thing between the two of them. So a couple days ago, while playing, Avery takes the clothes off of one of her baby dolls and tosses them on the floor and says to me, "I'm not gonna show this to Dad." I asked her why and she responded with, "he might drop the hammer!!"
Johnny said something to Avery last night and she responded with, "Ya, what's your point?"...
She asked me last night, "God made me a special little girl, with his magic wand, right mama?!"
While watching Disney Channel today, " Mom, that's the Jonas Brothers, they are cute!"...I'm thinkin'-you gotta be kiddin me, you are 3!!!
While holding up a $1 bill and pointing to the picture of George Washington, "Mom, is this God?"
Shopping with Mom and Dad--she was walking in front of us and turns around and says, "Come on slow plokes"
I asked her to please help me clean up her room, her response, " I'm too busy"
She's been telling people lately, "My doctor said soda is good for my body"...because I've been trying to get her to drink more milk, telling her that her Doctor said it's good for her.
