Pumpkin Patch

Here are pictures from our afternoon at the Pumpkin Patch. Avery loved picking a pumpkin out--she was trying to pick a small enough one so she could carry it herself. She also really enjoyed getting a pony ride!

Disney Advertisement...

I decided to share this video of Avery watching the "Parade of Dreams" at Disneyland this weekend. I love that each time she sees it, it is new and exciting to her. I love to see her face light up, and thought it would be a great advertisement for Disney :)

Our weekend

Avery and Minnie
Our cute fam!

Ok, so we LOVE Disneyland!! We went again this weekend--left at 5am Saturday, arrived to Disneyland at 10am, spent the day there (met up w/ our friends Mike,Noelle and Mikey) and left about 10pm. Avery was awake that whole time!--she woke at 5am as we put her into the car and didn't fall asleep until we were headed out of Disney park at 10pm. When she woke as we were putting her in her carseat, she was crying, "I want to stay at Mickey Mouses house..."-that's my girl! Disneyland is all decorated for Halloween right now and it's so cute--even the characters were dressed in Fall colors.

We stayed the night with Bill and Carrie, and they made us a yummy breakfast--they are always good to us, we are so lucky!! We hung out with them for a few hours and then headed for home and were home by 5pm. Next weekend is the pumpkin patch :)

My new indulgence:

Bruschetta and pita bread! YUM!! I have found great recipes for homemade bruschetta and pita breads and have been making them weekly for about 4 weeks...lovin' it!! I brought it to a little party a couple weeks ago and it was devoured. It's great that my neighbors like it too, so it's not just me with garlic breath :) I know you can't smell it through the computer, but let me tell ya, it is OH SO GOOD!!

Where does she get this stuff??!!

We had a pretty low key weekend, which led to the following video clip...that made Johnny and I laugh out loud!! What a silly little girl!! We did have friends over for dinner both Friday and Saturday--friends who have a little boy that Avery loves to play with, so that was fun for her. Also, Johnny went hunting on Saturday and was planning on camping that night and doing a Sunday morning hunt, but came home early cause he was freezing his butt off...when he came in the door, Avery said, "Daddy, your supposed to be in the woods, go back to the woods right now!" Anyway, it was nice to have a weekend at home, the next few weekends are going to be busier...oh, and Avery had her 3 year check up today, and she is in the 10% group now, for kids her age--up from 5% last year!! Woohoo :)

Teacher?

Avery thought it was so funny that Mommy was her teacher for pre-school today. She has been "teasing" with me for the past couple days, in anticipation for today, and calling me Teacher!...then she just giggles :) We had a fun time, learning the letter "C", the number "3", the color "pink" and about animals. We read books, played red light/green light and practiced writing our "C's",played a fun number game and learned to "sign" 5 animals that started with the letter "C"! Oh what fun to be a 3 year old!

Today we went to a totally ghetto Oktoberfest in the little town of Gustine--about 25 minutes from where we live. It was so small--but Johnny LOVED the sausage sampling with his buddy Bill. Celeste and I and the kids walked the 1/2 block of the "fest" and watched some dancers...kinda cheesy...next year we will pick a better one!
